Feast of St. Daniel Comboni October 10, 2009 Comboni is our teacher of missionary life at whose spiritual wells we drink as his children and disciples. Let us follow our Founder who indicates to us the road of fidelity to our vocation. Let us follow him as father who shows us the way and his specific manner of following Christ (RL1); let us follow him as a Missionary and a Saint who teaches us to give ourselves completely to the missionary cause for which he spoke, worked and died (RL 2). Let us listen to him as our Master of evangelization who in so many ways has taught us that the mission is, more than anything else, always staying among the people (W 4158), to the point of falling in love with the people we serve. Let us celebrate with joy and faith this feast together with all the Chapter Delegates, who are gathered in Rome, and let us pray together so that the General Chapter may become new life for the mission and the Institute.
